The Inaugural edition of the Run Disney France Half Marathon took place on 25th September 2016 with the start line next to Disney Village departing at 7am. The run course entered the Walt Disney Studios Park via a side path to the left of the park and runners continued through to Disneyland Park via Fantasia Gardens dicovering all the fun meets and greets along the way. From there the course exited out of the Park and into the Val D’ Europe Countryside before returning to the Resort Hotels and Lake Disney. The finish line was located in the Disney Village car park where runners were greeted by Characters in their run outfit.

This was also the debut of the Castle to Chateau Challenge Medal for those completing a half marathon or full marathon at Disneyland/Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon in the same year.
