About
The 3rd Run Weekend edition saw the introduction of full run themes and a new start line set up in the Car Park next to the Expo Tent in Disney Village with a corral grouping arrangements and the introduction of pre-shows! The weekend was also renamed to “Disneyland Paris Run Weekend”. This year the 10k theme celebrated all our Disney favorite “Heros and Villains” with our Host Megara and her troublesome friends Pain and Panic greeting runners on stage at the start line to send Runners from Zero to Hero during the pre-show. The course started through Disney Village and into the Walt Disney Studios before entering Disneyland Park. Runners then ran backstage and re-entered the Walt Disney Studios Park crossing the finish line at Production Courtyard were Hades was waiting on stage to greet the poor souls.
In 2018 the Challenge Medals were increased to include the 31K Challenge for Runners who completed both the 10k and Half Marathon and a 36k Challenge Medal for those completing all 3 runs across the weekend. A total of 6 medals were available (3 runs, 2 Challenge, and 1 C2C).
