Magic Happens! This fantastical parade takes us on a magical journey lead by the Magic Makers who are normally invisible to humans but in this parade we can see them right there when a pumpkin becomes a carriage, or a sword is plucked from a stone.

The parade debuted on 27th February 2020 and introduced some first time Characters to the Parks in a colorful and spectacular new way taking us through magical swirls, waves, across bridges and into enchanted forests with a grand finale tour through the most magical of Kingdoms. During the Finale each Kingdom is represented by it's flags emblem carried by flag bearers. 

Music for the parade is a catchy over arching theme of "Magic Happens" with each float blending in with songs from their theme, the end song features nods to memorable Disneyland shows as this parade originally formed as the center piece for the 65th Anniversary celebrations.  And listen out during the Coco scene when the main parade theme lyrics change from "That's when magic happens" into Spanish "Inicia Magia Ahora" to bring the Mexican feel. There are many details to look out for during this page and many hidden Characters along the way to spot if you can. Most of the Character and performer outfits are unique to this parade bringing an eclectic and stylized Disney look to this modern parade.

On 13th March 2020 Disneyland closed due to Covid 19 after a 3 week first season for Magic Happens. 

Magic Happens Parade finally returned to the Parade route of Disneyland on 23rd February 2022 as part of the 100 Years of Wonder celebration.
