The biggest event in August was obviously D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event! Mickey & Minnie appeared in their new and special Formula 1 “Fuel the Magic” racing outfits.

Events in the parks last month

  • Oogie Boogie Bash - a Disney Halloween Party is back at Disney California Adventure. This year, Oogie Boogie invited Yzma to the new Treat Trail. You can meet her until Halloween! Dr. Facilier is also ready to make a deal with the other side again, and even Madame Leota is present.
  • For this year’s Halloween Time - Mickey & Friends Meet ‘n Greet, Mickey and his pals hand out treats to guests in their finest carnival-and-jester-fun-inspired Halloween outfits.
  • Our favorite Cars have also dressed accordingly and decorated Radiator Spring for the upcoming Haul-o-Ween season!
  • Over at Disneyland Paris, it was time again for a new Pop Up Surprise: dubster DJ’s Chip & Dale and conductor Goofy met guests in their Disney Music Festival outfits from last summer.
  • Coco’s Miguel made his way to Pixar Pier last month. 

Coming up: magical events in the Disney parks

  • Fans with an annual pass will also be able to attend the Pirates & Princesses Night over at Disneyland Park on 11 September.
  • Mickey Mouse started hosting his “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” again at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Oogie Boogie invites guests to his Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure, both until 31 October. 
  • Also at Walt Disney World, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has started and wil run until 21 November 2026.
  • Christmas will come to the Arendelle at Disney Adventure World, as the new area World of Frozen will officially take part in the resort’s Christmas Celebrations from 7 November 2025 until 6 January 2027. 
  • You can also celebrate the holidays at Walt Disney World from 13 November 2026 until 6 January 2027. On selected dates you’ll be able to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be the background for Jollywood Nights. And from 27 November until 30 December, you can explore holiday traditions from around the world at EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!
  • A bit further in the future, but “Alice and the Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland” will return in Spring 2027.
  • A brand-new daytime parade for Disneyland Paris was announced at D23. The parade with dual floats will start enchanting guests in 2028.

Fun fact of the month!

Mickey and Minnie’s birthday is the release date of Steamboat Willie, but this actually wasn’t their first appearance! They debuted 5 months earlier in “Plane Crazy”.
