In 2024 Disneyland is currently the only park running kids races. With the longer races limited to those 5 and older, this group of races allows the whole family to take part. A parent can run with a child but only the child receives the medal.
Like the rest of the weekend, the kids races are Halloween themed too. This year's kids were asked to start their engines and “Git-R-Done" during races hosted by Cars.
Vampire Mater was the only character appearing but there were a number of games and activities to take part in
This year's event included:
- 4 distances of races at the Cast Member parking lot off Disney Way
- An Activity Zone area
- Photopass available on the course
Important information about this race
- All races were brought forward 45 minutes due to the scorching temperatures on the day
- Race bibs had to be picked up at the Expo the day before the race
- One adult could run with each child
- You were required to remove a child tag from their race bib prior to the race. This was then used to collect your child at the end of the race
