For the 2018 Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure Park, Disney Characters appeared in a mix of returning favorites and newly introduced costumes in honor of the Year of the Dog. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse continued to wear their popular Lunar New Year outfits first introduced in 2015. Joining them with brand new looks for 2018 were Goofy and Pluto, each debuting unique costumes created especially for the Year of the Dog celebration. Goofy appeared in his distinctive God of Good Fortune outfit, a traditional, colorful costume designed to spread luck and prosperity throughout the festival. Pluto also received a new themed look, featuring a small festive hat and decorative collar, making 2018 his first appearance in a Lunar New Year specific outfit. Together, these costumes represented the evolving Character wardrobe of Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year celebrations, blending returning designs with fresh additions for the 2018 event.
