Sam Wilson was an Air Force pilot and veteran who used an advanced flight harness with mechanical wings during his missions. After retiring, he met Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America, and became good friends with him. When HYDRA took over S.H.I.E.L.D., he brought his wings and suit back and became the Falcon! He also joined the Avengers and continued to be an ally and friend of Captain America. When Steve Rogers retired as Captain America, he gave his shield to Sam, who now continues the legacy as the new Captain America! He’s proud to wear the stars and stripes as a black man and to fight for everyone’s safety and wellbeing. Every now and then, he visits a Disney park to meet his fans.
