Kala is a gentle and loving gorilla. She adopted a baby she found and called him Tarzan in Disney’s animated film Tarzan. Kala is very protective, caring and brave, but like every mother also capable of aggression when her child is in danger. Being a gorilla, she is very strong. Although, most of the time, she is a calm and patient mother. Her love for Tarzan is unconditional. Her mate was Kerchak, whom she loved very much, despite their disagreements sometimes. Kala’s home is the jungle.
