DLP - Armageddon - Les Effets SpeciauxDLP - Disneyland Paris
What to do when a giant comet is flying straight to Earth? This was the story of 'Armageddon', a 1998 movie from Touchstone (part of the Walt Disney Studios until 2018).
In 'Armageddon - Les Effets Speciaux' the guests could experience how it feels to be part of that movie, and how to be frightened when you learn a comet is on his way to destroy you....
In the preshow guests learned a short history of special effects in Hollywood, and how to play a panicky audience, before heading to the main room: a giant recreation of a Space Station.
The cast is ready, the set is waiting... Light, Camera, Action! The audience is suddenly in a Space Station waiting for the comet to arrive. With a lot of fire, water and other special effects guests scream for their life! But too late: the comet makes his deadly arrival at the Station and with a loud bang.... the lights go on and everyone can enjoy the rest of the day at the park, still alive!
'Armageddon - Les Effets Speciaux' closed its doors in March 2019 to make way for a new marvellous ride: 'Web Slingers - A Spider-Man Adventure', part of the new 'Avengers Campus'!
