DLR - Disney's Paradise Pier HotelDLR - Disneyland Resort California

In 1984 the Disneyland Resort got a new neighbour hotel: 'Emerald hotel of Anaheim'. This hotel was not owned by Disney but was close to the parks. In 1995 Disney bought the hotel, renamed it to 'Disneyland Pacific Hotel' and from then on, it became part of the Disneyland Resort we all know and love.

When Disney's California Adventure opened in 2001, the hotel got a new perk: a view on the new themepark and an exclusive entrance for their guests. Because of its proximity to the park, the name was changed to 'Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel'.

The Paradise Pier hotel took its theming from the California beaches, which could be explored in the California Screamin' waterslide or the 'Mickey in Paradise' shop. But maybe one of the most famous places of the hotel was 'Disney's PC Grill' where guests could enjoy 'Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends'. Mickey, Minnie and all their friends suited up for a some good surf-fun, but before they started their search for some amazing waves, they said hello to all their friends visiting them. It was the perfect place to start your day with a good hug from Mickey!

'Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel' is now part of Disney history. In January 2024 our Pixar friends took over the place and it became the 'Pixar Place Hotel'.
