We’ve all known Buzz Lightyear for decades, ever since his first appearance in Toy Story as Andy’s new toy. But it’s only since his own movie Lightyear hit theaters, that we’ve learned more about the story behind the toy. Captain Buzz Lightyear was a space ranger who protects and explores the galaxy. During a trip to an uncharted planet, he became stranded there with his crew. They began experimenting with hyperspeed propulsion systems and Captain Buzz got chosen as a test pilot. However, he quickly learns that these flight tests take him into the future! 84 years from the present, he ends up in a fight against the evil robot Zurg and his army of robot soldiers.
