He is tasked with overseeing imperial matters, keeping peace within the kingdom and keeping order in the castle. The Grand Duke is very loyal to the crown and dutiful, and he is also a dignified and intelligent man who always bases his point of view on realism and logic. The Grand Duke is most of the time very busy with his tasks, so his appearances in Disney Parks around the world are limited to special events.
