The world got to know Hook Hand as the feared leader of a band of thugs that dreamed of playing the piano, despite his hook hand. Hook Hand appeared for the first time in Disney’s animated feature Tangled. Although Hook Hand might be the tough leader of all the thugs in The Snuggly Duckling, he showed compassion for Rapunzel when she told him she wanted to realise her dream. He responded by revealing his own dream, which was the beginning of the song I’ve Got a Dream. His scary, grumpy and mean attitude changed completely when he became friends with Rapunzel. He thus went on to live his life as a friendly and protective pianist. After his adventures with Rapunzel and Flynn, he decided to make his dream come true. Hook Hand became a successful concert pianist.
