Sally Slater is one of 999 Ghosts living in the Haunted Mansion where she stayed forever following a fall during one her tightrope performances, often know as, Tightrope Girl or Tightrope Walker. Following her demise a portrait was hung in the stretching room of the Haunted Masion as told by the "Ghost Host" as you enter. Look closely as the picture stretches it reveals how Sally met her untimely death as she fell from the tightrope into the jaws of an aligator into the river below! It is still possible to meet Sally at Disney Parks on rare occassions and at special events so "look alive" and keep a look out for the Tightrope girl with her balancing umbrella. Sally has also appeared in the 2023 Disney Film "The Haunted Mansion".
