The majestic Matterhorn towers high above Fantasyland. Here you can ride the first known tubular steel track roller coaster that opened in 1959. Since its opening it provided fun for everyone, except for the Abominable Snowman.

Close to the mountain, not far from Sleeping Beauty Castle, are the Central Plaza Gardens. Some of your favorite Disney Characters like to explore these gardens so don't be surprised if you catch them while you're on your way to visit the Matterhorn!
