About
As much as everyone was excited for the opening of Shanghai Disneyland, Mickey & Minnie surprised us with new looks.
The eyes are taller and closer to each other, Minnie will no longer be wearing make up in this look.
Mickey looks slightly slimmer, with a smaller yellow bow and is losing the black stripes to the side of his red pants and the white buttons are made more oval. His shoes are now curved in the front.
For both Mickey and Minnie, the slits on the gloves and the globes itself become thinner en longer.
Minnie's dress is updated, with no more polkadots on the body, it is replaced by two white buttons and a white collar. The sleeves are more poofy, while her bow is now bigger and more bouncy. The iconic yellow pumps have red bows now.
After the first look on these design upon the Shanghai Disneyland opening announcement, the outfits were enrolled in the following order
- Disney Cruise Line (August, 2016)
- Disneyland Resort (September, 2016 - after the Diamond Celebration)
- Walt Disney World (starting Christmas 2016 in Magic Kingdom for parades and promo, through meets in Magic Kingdom and Epcot in 2017, on to Fantasmic! in March 2018 and was finished in May 2018 throughout the resort)
- Hong Kong Disneyland (January 2017)
- Disneyland Paris (April 2017 - 25th anniversary)
- Disney on Ice (Dare to Dream September 2017)
- Tokyo Disney Resort (March 2019 after the 35th anniversary celebration)

Mickey & Minnie - Regular Look - 1961-1963 - John Hench
Characters in wardrobe
About
These designes by John Hench, are the first ones to have a preshaped body as well as a head.
By making the heads even bigger, they created the illusion of. smaller height.
Mickey receives outerwear for the first time along with a top hat. Minnie is getting a pink dress and hat with a yellow flower and green shoes. Minnie holds a parasol in her left hand.
Downsides of these outfits is that the arms are inoperable, so the characters are not able to greet and interact with guests, but they were able to move their noses and ears.

Mickey & Minnie - Regular Look - 1950-1955 - Ice Capades
Characters in wardrobe
About
Mickey & Minnie appeared in this look during the Ice Capades (Walt's Toy Shop Segment), five years before the original Disneyland opened.
Upon opening of Disneyland in 1955, Walt did not have characters as we known available, so he borrowed the Ice Capades outfits. The head are bigger with large viewpoints (necessary for the vision of the ice skaters).
Also, in this regular look, Mickey is portraited in his red shorts with white buttons, while Minnie only wears a skirt (we assume red) without white dots and a red bow.

About
The Mickey and Minnie costumes from the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Carthay Circle in Los Angeles.
Mickey & Minnie were created to look like the toys being made around that time.
The costume consists of black leotards (bodysuit) with respectively shorts for Mickey and a skirt for Minnie. It's the first sight of the signature with gloves with the three black stipes. Shoes are made by fabric covers. The head are non-shapaed, fabric masks.
Note that, in this regular look, Mickey is portraited in his red shorts with white buttons, while Minnie only wears a skirt (we assume turqouise) with white dots and her signature classic hat with white flower.
