R-3X (formerly RX-24, nicknamed Rex) was a standard R-24 series droid purchased by the Star Tours Travel Agency. When he arrived at the Star Tours facility he arrived mangled and was labeled defective. He could only mumble basic phrases and had limited motion. He sat at the Star Tours queuing area and was finally repaired around the time that Star Tours upgraded their passenger ship fleet from the Starspeeder 1000 to the Starspeeder 3000 models. You can still see a version of him as you queue in the Star Tours travel agency queue. When he was repaired and functioning again he was assigned a piloting role in this new fleet.
