Phastos is a member of the alien race known as the Eternals. The leader of the Celestials, Arishem, sent him to Earth 7000 years ago to protect humanity from the Deviants and he stayed after they were eradicated. He was always the inventor of the group and upheld great technological ambitions for the human race, but lost faith in humans long ago. Despite his loss of faith, he still managed to settle down with a family and start a life of his own. As the inventor of the group, Phastos has always been able to create weapons powered by cosmic energy and new technologies to advance the world.
