The 3rd Run Weekend edition saw the introduction of full run themes and a new start line set up in the Car Park next to the Expo Tent in Disney Village with a corral grouping arrangements and the introduction of pre-shows! The weekend was also renamed to “Disneyland Paris Run Weekend”. The Half Marathon this year sent runners on a hunt for their favorite Disney Villains with Cruella De Vil waving Runners on their way on stage at the start line, ably assisted by the very rare appearance of the Mad Doctor. The course started through Disney Village and into the Walt Disney Studios Park before entering Disneyland Park from backstage and Adventureland. From there the course went on through the lands with runners searching for the Villains on the route. The course exited Discoveryland backstage and into the countryside of Val D’ Europe. Runners came back into the Resort Hotels and Lake Disney crossing the finish line in Production Courtyard in the Walt Disney Studios where our Host Sorcerer Mickey was waiting on stage to greet the magical runners across the line. 

In 2018 the Challenge Medals were increased to include the 31K Challenge for Runners who completed both the 10k and Half Marathon and a 36k Challenge Medal for those completing all 3 runs across the weekend. A total of 6 medals were available (3 runs, 2 Challenge, and 1 C2C).
