Kylo Ren is one of the main antagonists in the Star Wars saga. He was born as Ben Solo, son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, and nephew of Luke Skywalker. He took his new name when he gave in to his inner darkness and joined the First Order. Kylo Ren admires the powers of his grandfather Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. He is torn by internal conflict, which can be seen by his ruthless and brutal way of behaving and the guilt he sometimes feels afterward. Unable to keep his temper and emotions under control, he goes up and down between feelings of rage, fear, and doubt. He uses a red-bladed crossguard lightsaber and the powers his strong connection with the Force gives him as a weapon.
