Fa Zhou is Fa Mulan’s father. He’s a retired war hero who gets an emergency call to return to battle and fight the Huns. Because he got injured in the previous conflict, Mulan takes his place. Although it is unknown how he became a war hero, he clearly deserves the title as Shang mentioned Fa Zhou’s name in awe, referring to him by The Fa Zhou! Fa Zhou is traditional and puts family honor before everything. He is, however, also very fatherly and understanding towards Mulan. Fa Zhou’s injury doesn’t allow him to meet fans in Disney parks but he has been seen in parades and special event nights.
