The world met Carl Fredricksen in Disney Pixar’s Up in 2009. He had been a helium balloon salesman. Once retired at 78 years old, he became an old and cranky man. Especially when his wife and the love of his life Ellie died, he felt lonely and bitter. His dream had always been to move to Paradise Falls with Ellie. The young scout Russell accompanied him on the adventure to make this come true. After this, Carl became the nice man again whom he had always been. Because of his age, Carl Fredricksen is rather rare to meet in the parks but does appear for speacial and seasonal events.
