Launchpad McQuack was introduced in 1987 in the TV show Ducktales. He is Scrooge McDuck’s private (and clumsy) pilot and later moved on to be Darkwing Duck sidekick on the Disney Afternoon show. In the 1990’s Launchpad was very busy starring in Disney Afternoon Live!: Plane Crazy on top of meeting fans at Disney parks. He was even riding aboard the Mark Twain in Fantasmic at one point and learned how to skate especially to star in Disney on Ice tours across the globe. The early 2000 were a calmer period for him with appearances only in special events but the 2017 reboot of Ducktales is sure to change that. He is already scheduled to appear more regularly at Walt Disney World throughout 2018.
