Halloween is taking over this new Run Weekend in Disneyland. The 5k was the first race of the weekend. It was open to those aged 5 and older. RunDisney called it a "race that's a real treat".

This year's theme was a "trick or treat" themed adventured. Chip and Dale appeared in new Pirate and Spaceman outfits on the medal and at the start line pre-race. That doesn't mean other Disney characters weren't also part of the fun.

This year's event included:

• Start line on Main Street in Disneyland
• Route through Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure
• Characters meeting after and during the race
• Photopass available on the course and at post character meets

Important information about this race

• Some meets were were distanced or didn't have photopass
• Race bibs had to be picked up at the Expo the day before the race
• There were no pre-race character meets
