The Disney Cruise was founded in 1995 but its first ship, the Disney Magic, didn't launch until 1998. This was after a failed negations withe Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
The ships have been registered in Nassau, Bahamas but their home ports have ranged from Florida, San Diego, UK and even Singapore.
A mixture of characters have appeared on the Aft of the ships and in the atriums though some ships have shared shows, character events and restaurants.
The ships known for their distinctive classic look and their "Mickey horn" which plays songs such as "When you wish upon a star"
